FAQ

I’m new — which class should I book?

If it’s your first time on the reformer, Reformer Classic is the perfect place to start.

It’s suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners, so you don’t need any previous Pilates or reformer experience. Your instructor will talk you through the equipment and guide you throughout the class.

If you’re looking for something slower and more gentle,  Reformer Mobility is another lovely option.

How do I book a class?

All classes are booked through the Mindbody app.

Simply download Mindbody, create an account, search for the studio and you’ll be able to view the timetable, purchase a class credit, bundle or membership and book your chosen session.

You can also manage your bookings, cancellations and waitlists through the app.

What should I bring to my first class?

You don’t need much! We recommend bringing:

  • Grip socks – required for reformer classes

  • Water bottle

  • Towel - required for hot classes

  • Comfortable clothing you can move freely in

Do I need to wear grip socks?

Yes. Grip socks are required for reformer classes for both safety and hygiene.

If you forget yours, we have grip socks available to purchase at the studio Subject to availability.

What should I bring to a hot class?

For all hot classes, a towel is mandatory.

Your towel needs to be large enough to completely cover your mat. This is an important hygiene requirement during our heated classes.

We also recommend bringing plenty of water.

I’ve never done Pilates before — can I join?

Absolutely!

Reformer Classic is suitable for all abilities, including complete beginners. You don’t need to know anything about the reformer before you arrive.

Your instructor will explain how the equipment works and guide you through the class.

Which reformer classes are suitable for beginners?

Reformer Classic is our all-levels reformer class and is the best place to start if you're new.

Reformer Mobility is also a great option if you're looking for a slower, more gentle class.

We recommend trying Reformer Strong and Reformer Cardio once you're familiar and comfortable with the reformer.

How do I know which studio my class is in?

When booking through Mindbody, simply click on the class you are attending. At the top of the class details, you’ll see how many spaces are available — for example, “3 spaces booked 5 spaces available.”

This will tell you which studio your class is in:

  • 8 spaces → You’ll be in the Ground Floor Studio, which has 8 reformers.

  • 4 spaces → You’ll be in the 4th Floor Studio, which has 4 reformers.

The number shown will also let you know how many spaces are currently available in the class you’re attending, so you can easily check both the studio location and class availability before attending.

How early should I arrive for my first class?

We recommend arriving around  5-10 minutes before your first class so you have time to get settled, find the studio and speak to your instructor if you have any questions.

What happens when I arrive?

Come in, get yourself settled and make yourself at home.

If it’s your first reformer class, let your instructor know. They’ll help you get set up on the equipment and talk you through anything you need to know before you begin.

Do I need to complete a waiver?

Yes. Before taking part in your first class, you’ll need to complete your waiver and health questionnaire through Mindbody.

Please make sure these are completed before arriving for your first session.

What is the cancellation policy?

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy.

If you need to cancel your class, please do so through Mindbody at least 24 hours before the class starts.

If you cancel within the cancellation window, your class credit will be returned to your Mindbody account so you can use it for another class.

Late cancellations and no-shows will result in the class credit being used and it cannot be refunded or returned.

We completely understand that things happen, but our classes have limited spaces and late cancellations can prevent someone else from taking your place.

By booking a class, you agree to our cancellation policy.

What happens if I join a waitlist?

If a class is full, you’ll see “Waitlist” rather than “Book”.

You can add yourself to the waitlist through Mindbody. If a space becomes available, Mindbody may automatically move you into the class and notify you.

Please only join a waitlist if you’re genuinely happy to attend the class.

We recommend keeping an eye on your emails and notifications, particularly for early morning classes, as spaces can become available at short notice.

What if I don’t get a place from the waitlist?

If you aren’t allocated a place, your class credit remains available in your Mindbody account to use for another booking.

Can I cancel if I’m on the waitlist?

Yes. If you’re no longer able to attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist through Mindbody.

If Mindbody has already automatically moved you into the class, the normal 24-hour cancellation policy applies.

Do you offer refunds?

Class credits are non-refundable.

If you cancel within the 24-hour cancellation window, your credit will be returned to your Mindbody account for you to use another time.

Late cancellations and no-shows are not eligible for a refund or credit return.

What do I get with a membership?

Our memberships are designed for those who want to make their wellness routine a regular part of their week, with plenty of added benefits:

  • Priority booking — book your classes ahead of non-members and have priority access to the waitlist.

  • Heavily discounted classes — enjoy additional classes at a significantly reduced member rate.

  • Complimentary hot drink after every class — choose from matcha, coffee or a milk steamer.

  • Recovery room access — enjoy use of our recovery room before or after your class.

  • Member-only perks and events — including selected member experiences throughout the year.

If you’re planning to come regularly, a membership offers excellent value and makes it easier to build Pilates and wellness into your weekly routine.

Can I cancel my membership whenever I want?

Our memberships have a minimum 3-month commitment, so unfortunately you can’t cancel during your first 3 months.

After the initial 3-month period, our usual 30 days’ notice applies to cancellation.

Please make sure you’re happy with this commitment before signing up. If you’re unsure whether a membership is right for you, we’re always happy to help you choose the best option.

Do late cancellations still apply if I have a membership?

Yes. Our usual late cancellation and no-show policy applies to all members, including those on unlimited memberships.

Membership does not mean you can book classes without attending. For unlimited memberships in particular, repeated late cancellations or no-shows will be monitored to ensure classes remain accessible and fair for everyone.

Where there is a consistent pattern of late cancellations or no-shows, we reserve the right to review and, where necessary, cancel the membership.

We really appreciate members being mindful of their bookings and cancelling as early as possible if they can no longer attend. This allows another member to take the space.

What if I accidentally book the wrong class?

Don’t worry!

Simply cancel your booking through Mindbody and rebook the correct class. Just make sure you do this within the 24-hour cancellation window so that your credit can be returned.

If you’re unsure which class is right for you, feel free to get in touch before booking.

Can I come straight into Strong or Cardio Reformer?

If you’re completely new to reformer, we recommend starting with Classic Reformer first.

Once you’re comfortable with the equipment and familiar with the basic movements, you can start trying our Strong and Cardio sessions.

Can I come if I’m pregnant or have an injury or medical condition?

Please let us know about any injuries, medical conditions or other physical considerations before taking part in a class.

If you’re pregnant, please contact us before booking so we can advise which classes are currently suitable for you.

If you’re unsure whether a particular class is appropriate for you, please ask before booking.

Can I come on my own?

Of course!

Lots of people come to class on their own. You don’t need to bring a friend or know anyone beforehand.

Can men come to classes?

Absolutely. Everyone is welcome.

Can I book a class for someone else?

Bookings need to be made through the individual’s own Mindbody account so that their waiver, health questionnaire and booking information are correctly linked to them.

If you’re buying a class as a gift, gift vouchers are also available.

What if I’m running late?

Please try your best to arrive on time, particularly for reformer classes.

For safety reasons, if you’re very late, your instructor may not be able to allow you into the class once it has started. This is particularly important for your first session when you’ll need time to get familiar with the equipment.

How long are the classes?

Most classes are around 45–50 minutes, depending on the class type.

You can find the exact class duration and description in Mindbody when booking.

Is there a receptionist or someone I can call?

We don’t have a receptionist or someone available to answer the phone at all times.

If you pop into the studio and buzz the buzzer, we may be teaching a class, so unfortunately we may not always be able to stop and answer your questions there and then.

Our email and Instagram DMs are always open, though, and we’ll always do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible.

And if you’d rather speak to a real person, we completely understand! We can always arrange a time for you to come into the studio, have a look around and ask any questions face-to-face. We know sometimes it’s just nicer to speak to a human, especially if you’re completely new.
